Wal-Mart Paramount MetalPak wave at Wal-Mart

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...65&postcount=1

Hey everyone, just wanted to let yall know that next week Walmart(should be most if not all) will be setting a new mod for some steelbooks. I believe they will be on the share-center, use to be blu-ray center. I'm not sure how many titles we will be getting, I'll have the full list either sat or sun, but I'll post any new ones we get till then.
Here's the ones that came in today, the price for all of them so far is $12.96.

MI-I
MI-Ghost Protocol
Transformers 1
Transformers 2
Deep Impact
Saving Private Ryan
The Godfather
War of the Worlds
The Hunt for Red October
Patriot Games

Not that more steelbooks are a bad thing, but why are they all coming out around the same time!

I'll get Transformers 1/2, and depending on artwork maybe MI:GP and SPR.

Ah man, I will be in for Transformers 2, Saving Private Ryan and The Hunt for Red October.

Not that it is a deal breaker, but at $12.96 I wouldn't expect any debossing/embossing or inside artwork.

Thanks for the news Rickah! Are these items that will be in stock at the retail level or online only? I don't know what you mean by "share-center"

If MI/MI:GP/Transformers1&2/War of the Worlds are recycled Play.com exclusives, I can easily pass on them.
But seeing as I don't have Hunt for Red October/Patriot Games, I'll be in for them. Very interested to see the artwork.

Take this post with a grain of salt. I just copied it from the deal forum, as I thought it should be posted here in the SB forum.
This is the first I've heard anything about a Paramount SB wave in the US. It does make sense if they want to "compete" with both WB and Universal SB waves, coming out in May & June, respectively.

Yeah here's a brilliant idea: How about releasing ALL steelbooks in ALL regions!!!
Lordy, studio constantly moan about their bottom line...well this is a pretty good way to throw a few more coins in the coffers. Do studios not notice all the "Take My Money" posts?

Already got steelbooks for Transformers 1 and Transformers 2. Not interested in the other titles.

I'm glad it's been an import-free year for me so far!
And so is my bank!

At that price, might as well name them 'stealbooks'

Probably only SPR, now I'm thankful that I wasn't able to find a slipped copy for U&S

If this actually happens, son of a... since I got regular copies of War of the Worlds, Patriot Games, and The Hunt for Red October not that long ago. Although if it turns out that these don't have any inside artwork, I'll likely pass on all of them and continue to get imports for the ones I want little by little.

Is Wal-Mart going to be stocking the May 7th Warner line as well? That would be a buttload of steelbooks in one place...

Well Walmart's website and store prices are usually two completely different things.
