I am pretty sure 1,000 and then 2,000 steelbooks are quite expensive to aquire from companies and they may need the funds to pay bills
Well,we know its not ES as Blu Lemmy received an e-mail from them earlier, here it is...

I'm afraid to say that, once again, Play have decided to charge for pre-orders on one of our exclusive steelbooks. We did not instruct them to do this.

Sorry for this - it was not, and is not, our intention to charge any earlier than the week before release.
