In the UK, they ship pre-orders early (assuming they get the stock on time - they don't always, but they normally email you to explain). Don't know about the US...

That would work out to be real nice, combined with their 0.99 flat rate shipping. Looks like each one of those 8.95 steels comes out to be about 14usd, not a bad deal but not enough for me to buy the ones I don't want thats , save myself some money I don't have anyway I am pretty sure I will be placing an order here today maybe tomorrow for atleast the Premium Collection steels, looks like transformers no longer on the site I was looking at last week

If anyone has an extra copy of the transformers zavvi had up for 9.99GBP let me know would appreciate it. thanks

Got my 1st two Zavvi steelbooks in today, took a little over a week not to bad. I got the Hulk and Transformers. Both are beautiful and came in a white box wrapped in foam.

Apologies if this has been asked before but how do they ship in regards to pre orders. I'd love to get in on .99 shipping for a few discs but they come out months from one another. Does Zavvi send out each disc separately or do they bundle?

Yes separate, but that doesn't effect shipping charges.

So long as you order them all in one go it doesn't matter if they all ship months apart, would still only be one 99p shipping charge.

I got War of the Worlds steel yesterday from Zavvi. It took forever to arrive and has a minor dent on front a small scratches top and bottom. I still rate Zavvi highly and this is the only steel I have from them like this. They are still ok!

I have one item despatched third week of April still not arrived (in Australia), though other titles sent since then have turned up. I wrote to Zavvi to ask what timeframe they require before declaring an item MIA, but eight days later I'm still waiting on a reply. Hmmm ...

I've rprobably been a bit spoiled by Amazon, but I would have thought Zavvi could do a bit better than this with their customer service.

zavvi customer service is the worst of the worst. only order with them when you have no other choice

I've had nothing but good experiences with Zavvi. I hope that continues. I have 12 steelbooks on order from them. Some are preorders, but a few have dispatched. I haven't had to contact them yet about a defect or a problem with an order, so I can't comment on their responsiveness, but I have received every order within two weeks from dispatching.

I've ordered at least 20 steels from Zavvi now and have many more on pre order. All have been mint except my War of the Worlds, aside from that one minor fault they have been amazing and I will continue to shop with them. Shipping times to New Zealand are between 4 - 10 days, although I'm still waiting on MI:1 to arrive (been 13 days so far)

So Zavvi finally got back to me about my damaged Demons steelbook. They asked me to take some photos of the damage, which I did, and replied pretty quickly after getting them. They gave me the usual spiel you get from a lot of companies about investigating the packing process to prevent future problems, etc., etc. Even after I said I'd like to exchange it (which according to their policy they do) and wouldn't mind forking out for the return postage, they've completely ignored me about that and are rather offering a partial refund of 3 Pounds.

Geez, guess you have to experience Zavvi customer service first hand to really understand all the complaints.

I placed the order on 23 March, they send it on the 24th.

I was still waiting for my steelbooks on the 24th of April, so I contacted them via PayPal (within their 40 day policy). They never responded.

So I contacted them again and this time they did respond. However, the second time I contacted them was outside their 40 day policy and they told me that they couldn't do anything.

Meaning: I have lost my money and won't get my steelbooks from Zavvi.

I ordered the cheap Paramount steelbooks from Zavvi and a few other ones (Mission Impossible 1,2,3, Zulu, War of the Worlds, Cloverfield, Forrest Gump, Black Hawk Down, Demons 1 & 2, Zombieland, Bad Boys and Transformers).

So your package was lost in the mail and when the company didn't respond, instead of filing a Paypal claim you allowed the buyer protection period to lapse? It's a poor show from Zavvi but also incredibly foolish of yourself. I guess you can put this one down to experience.

Sorry, but you should really be angry at yourself...should have escalated it to a claim before the deadline...
