I hope Cole Hauser's character from 2 Fast 2 Furious is involved with Statham. I thought the second film was just as good as the first. And Brian and Roman know that Verone will be looking for them. Given the run in's they've had with two other drug dealers, they should be on his radar.

I heard Vin Diesel mention on Conan that they're planning a chase on the Great Wall of China for 7. No idea how they could pull that off, but he sounded serious about it.

Nice picture by the way...very fitting! You almost have to bring back Lucas Black and Bow Wow knowing they ended Fast 6 in Tokyo and Dom showing up in Drift. It's just too bad The Rock won't be back for Fast 7.

The producers have already confirmed The Rock will be back for the film. They're going to work around his schedule, but Hobbs will be there, he's in the script.

Huh, I didn't know that. Guess he's gonna go from one films straight to the other no breaks.

It's nothing new, actors do that all the time.

Oh that's good...i probably just read an older article saying he wouldn't be able to work around his Hercules schedule. I also hope the script/action is solid with it being released next summer already!

The script was written back to back with this sixth film, as I said before, both films were supposed to be shot back to back at one point. So I'm sure the script is fine.

Yeah, but still they usually have a little break of a week or so. But this seems like he'll be jumping fright from Hercules to this no break.

Don't actors do that all the time? Remember Michael J Fox was filming BACK TO THE FUTURE on the nights and weekends, and Family Ties during the days.

Jessica Chastain was going from film to film there for awhile too.

I think it happens more than we know. We also don't know just how big of a part Hobbs will be to the script. This could very well be a Diesel/Statham show, because this seems to be a very different film altogether. There's no way they use someone like him without giving him a lot of screen time. We'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

I do not think Walker and Diesel are the only reason why these films work, I think these movies work because they are about family, a weirdly functional family and that provides these movies with what most action movies don't have these days: heart. It's something the first movie had, and the second and third lacked. I think they realized that and injected it back into the formula in the fourth movie. It's more than Diesel and Walker, though I won't deny they're important ingredients to the mix.

The Rock may play the same part in every movie he's in, but he's an affable guy, and that's a big deal. I think that, if handled correctly, the Hobbs movies (if they ever get made) could be a lot of fun. I would, however, like to see cameos from the F&F cast from time to time.
Like half my movies and your movies are the same, but why someone would own 12 Rounds or Battleship is also not my style!

And my evidence is the SCORPION KING. Everyone thought The Rock could hold his own outside The Mummy franchise, but he couldn't. Hell, even the 3rd Mummy film didn't quite work cause Bello was no Weisz.

That's not a fair comparison though. That was his very first movie, with a character that had just barely had any screen time in 'The Mummy Returns'. He's now an established actor, and the character of Hobbs is probably his most popular character, so there's a very good chance that it'll hold its own. In fact, I can almost guarantee it, coming off 'Furious 6' being Universal's biggest opening weekend of all time. That's a big deal, and that means people like the series, and the characters. So looking at it that way, and seeing he's coming back around with audiences as an action hero, not just a family comedy guy, a Hobbs spin-off will do just fine for itself, and probably launch the franchise in a new direction. But then again, maybe his spin-off will be more tied to 'Fast 7' than we know...Just saying.

Well my next semi concern would be James Wan then. I mean i did like Saw and Insidious but lets be honest those werent huge action movies and definitely didn't cost over $100 million to make!
