Tobacco kills. The ONLY reason people smoke is due to the highly addictive LEGAL DRUG that is contained in the cigarette: nicotine. If nicotine was removed from cigarettes by government mandate, smokers would eventually end up giving up the habit once the nicotine is gone.

It breaks my heart to see people smoke because they are cutting their lives short - and making others wealthy at the expense of their own lives.

My next door neighbor is 61 years old. She chain-smokes three packs a day. That's almost $5,000 a year for cigarettes. She has no retirement money. She smoked it all away.

Her larynx is burned from smoking and her voice sounds like a man. She always feels sick and never goes to the doctor because she is scared that "they will find something."

I fear that she may pass away very soon. She said to me, "When I die I want two things in my coffin with me: my cigarettes and a lighter."

Very sad.

But she does smoke outside.... never in the house.
