I wouldn't even think you would be able to notice much between a regular DVD and Bluray on such a small screen and being 7 feet away. If you don't have a BluRay player yet, I would wait until you got a bigger TV, otherwise you'll be spending a lot on movies without really being able to fully take advantage of it.
