What exactly do you disagree with? I'm recommending he save his money and wait until he has a TV that will make best use of a BluRay player. BluRay players are going to be dropping in price pretty quickly over the next few months now that HD-DVD is gone and consumer demand is rising. The honest truth is that right now is a bad time to buy a BluRay player if you are trying to be cost effective. So my recommendation is to just wait because now that the format war is over, we can have a price war
