Critters 1-4, Razorback, and In the Mouth of Madness are all with WB.

House 1-2, Stuff, and Creepshow 2 were all released by Image in 2011 on DVD, so they may still have the rights.

Leviathan is with MGM, so maybe that one.

Why do people repeatedly insist on posting pointless wish lists without even bothering to take two seconds to see who owns the films they cluelessly clamor for? All they're doing is lazily and rudely adding to the general clutter and white noise of a thread already bursting with it. Have some consideration for your fellow posters and readers, at least.

I'm pretty sure that Criterion does control Hitch's FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT.

Oh drag, caught that post a little after I posted mine. Well, at least the films are still coming to Blu-ray which is certainly better than nothing.

Either way, this latest twist might mean some hope for Cliff to do his "Paramount Years" box set after all. Let's hope Scream Factory gives it another stab (no pun intended... well maybe a little )
The only way that would happen would be in three years when their deal with Warner expires....unless Warner renews the deal.

OK Cliff, a yes or no question. Besides MGM & Universal, Are you guys working on getting any more deals with other Studios?

And , Is Fox gonna let you dip into their catalog, or strictly the MGM catalog?

We can always hope for that, Cliff. I certainly would double dip on a "Paramount Years" set from you guys if a deal ever was worked out.

It's the same "Go Ask Grandma" factor that Criterion gets, when they create the myth (true or not) of the Wandering Knight-Errant Company, unafilliated with any mean ol' film-company studio, that can go out and get any film in the whole wide world, regardless of print, film source, availability, or rights.
And the wish-listing is just as annoying on the Criterion thread, too.

You guys haven't got a clue, or something? Why do you think Cliff is here? To chat with you about beer? He's here to read the wishlists so that he can go after the most popular titles to make more MONEY. Which is absolutely perfectly reasonable. I wish more companies would do that.

All of these great movies are unreleased and you know why? Because the studios don't know that there's a demand for them. No one requests them. No one writes to the studios anymore. Nothing.

And then you guys have the nerve to cry about not having more catalog titles.

Well make your lists! Keep on repeating your favorite unreleased movies. The more you do so, the more likely that these movies will get released.

Common sense.

You think that the repeated requests of one random guy on an internet forum for said WB titles will somehow magically sway them? No. You think anyone else on here wants to read your pointless, illogical and redundant posts? No. Of course, I doubt if you even bothered to double-check to see that half the films on your list were WB titles. Not that doing so would have made any difference, as you are obviously one of those unfortunate but all-too common posters who just types away in a virtual vacuum without reading or comprehending anything or anyone else. But, as 99% of your posts have been pointless rants or threadcraps without a shred of new, welcome, or relevant information, it's probably more productive for me (and everyone else) to simply add you to their ignore lists. You have yet to contribute anything but needless noise, so why read anything you post? Goodbye and good riddance.

This is awesome. All this sounds like my brother and I when we get together and talk about movies. Lighten up Frances.....that made me giggle for a few minutes. That is probably the single funniest sentence in that movie. Anyway...back to the squabble.

Do we even know if Cliff drinks beer ?

Sometimes new posters , be it here or on FB just don't go back to look at previous questions or requests...Its human nature...Im sure someone one day a new poster will make a post
"Are you guys getting Without Warning ?!?!?!"

Plenty of people have requested these titles, so that is certainly not why they aren't available. The O.P has a very hefty collection of titles that have been shot down.

Now that could change at any time. But Warner Bros. is notorious for not licensing titles out, so making a list is not going to change that, unfortunately. Warner knows there is a demand for them, they just don't see things the same way as cult fans do.
