Ahhh, Superman, the man with the perfect hair.

Not to mention when you are flying way up high in space, your hair will probably get like REALLY frosty. Maybe physics does not apply to Superman. I just hope Superman does not look either too cartoony or out of place for this movie.

If the whole movie is really good, then the minor details are not important to me.

Completely agree with this, everything about The Dark Knight is in relation to Batman. The Joker doesn't go through an arch in the film, people think it's a film about him, he's just the sociopath that drives the themes in relation to Batman. What are his affects on Gotham city, is he doing good or is he doing worse? The only character that goes through more development is Harvey Dent and that's because he is always juxtaposed against Batman.

Sure Batman Begins is more about Batman because it's Batman BEGINS, the story is physically about him. But The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are more external views of Batman and his effects.

In an effort to raise maximum awareness for Man of Steel, Warner Bros. have partnered up with 98 companies worldwide and have already earned $170 million for the movie. This is even more than The Dark Knight Rises' $150 million from last summer as it has apparently proved to be, "a much easier movie to pitch to partners than The Dark Knight Rises, which was darker in theme and plot.". It's Superman's status as an all-American hero which has obviously helped to make him someone advertisers have no problem associating themselves with. However, it's thought that plenty of international partners will also be found ahead of its release next week. Some of the companies you will see promoting the movie are Mattel, Lego, JAKKS Pacific, Converse, Rubie’s, Hallmark, Chrysler, Nokia, Carls Jr., Hershey’s, Walmart and even the U.S. Army National Guard. Why should you care about this? Well, do try to remember that the future of the DC Cinematic Universe and a potential Justice League rests on the success of Man of Steel!

Movie is beautiful. Snyder has an eye for aesthetics. With Nolan as his producer, I'm sure we can count on a story up to par with the visual experience.

Not when fanboys across the interwebs were doubting Snyder and the project from its inception. WB doesn't want another Watchmen, Owls of Ga'hoole, or Sucker Punch from Snyder, in terms of Box Office and critical disappointment. They're throwing all this advertising money behind it to ensure people flock to see it. Plus they want to distance it from Returns. But I agree, for the most part, this is looking good enough as it is, and I'm sure people forgot about Returns a long time ago. So, they may not need to do all they're doing, but hey, whatever gets the job done (aka asses in seats).

Unfortunately, some of my Superman-hater friends have not forgotten about Returns. "Returns was stupid, this will be stupid, Superman is stupid." I always remind them that before Batman Begins, we had Batman & Robin.

And I'm not comparing Superman Returns to Batman & Robin; Superman Returns is a much more competent film.

Are they hiding Cavill's acting performance? We haven't heard him speak in any of the trailers.

You know how some people blow everything out of proportion! Certain people act like, they've never seen a Superman movie before. I don't get all the excitement and hype over another Superman movie, as if this is the first one. If I was that eager, to see a Superman movie that bad, I'll go and watch the original.

To be fair, that's quite a good point. I don't doubt Cavill's performances isn't good, he just hasn't really done a lot previously to show off performances.

Yet again, they seem to be hiding a lot of the performances, we've only seen a handful of lines from Adams, Cosner, Crowe and Shannon. I think they're pushing the spectical more here, I think the actor we've seen most of infact is the child actor.

The way things are going with the reception MoS is getting makes me wonder what Bryan Singer must feel like and what he must be thinking.... I wish I could ask him what he would have done differently... Would he have stuck with the Donner approach? Would he have stuck with Lex Luthor as the villain? Would he have stuck with the kid? How much less cerebral/drama and how much more action would he have used??? What if, What if, What if....

Also, I wonder if Superman Returns would have done better if they would have done the same Marketing and promotional blitz that MoS is getting. I don't remember SR ever getting this much publicity... I remember with SR at this point, I was filled with anxiety and hope that it would do well and that it was a good movie... With MoS, I am almost exhausted with excitement and huge expectations. After watching SR, I was left empty and uncertain... almost like when I watch a drama or a romance.. I think after I watch MoS, I am going to feel like after having great sex!!!

I don't remember who or exact wording, but I believe someone said they preferred Batman Begins because it was actually about Batman. This would be inferring that The Dark Knight wasn't.

No that wasn't the exact wording. The exact wording was Begins was more about Batman than TDK. That isn't saying TDK wasn't about Batman. Begins felt like a more centralized in regards to Batman than TDK was.
