And I don't mean I use the "Check Stores" button and see that the titles are unavailable in and around my location. I mean the button isn't even there. It only allows me to buy online, no store pickup. I do not have the option to check if it's in the stores around me, because it doesn't have the button at all. Bedazzled on Blu-ray is a similar situation, as I wasn't able to find the Check Stores button for that one either.
Is there some mass miscommunication here? I feel like my question is not nearly as stupid and easy to figure out as I feel you are making it out to be

Dude, what's the mystery? There's no guarantee : "some stores got 'em, some don't". Best Buy sucks these days, they're downsizing in-store stock. It's shoe-leather or the telephone, pardner, can't make it any clearer.
