This was my big question for the new disc. I always felt the 5.1 remix was a bit too much in places.

We are getting this in Australia and i emailed my local JB HIFI store to ask if it was coming with a slip and the other bits and pieces and they didnt know, from the below pic in there current magazine it looks like it is and its $18.98 AUD hopefully it comes with a lenticular slip as i can't/wont pay $35 for it, im sure it will drop at Amazon but if not ill just grab the local copy

And yes i know its an ugly ratings logo lol hopefully its a removable sticker

Cheers V

Is the only difference between the U.S. and U.K. edition of this anniversary set is that the U.S. edition is getting physical goodies in the set. Is the contents on the discs the same between the two?

Obviously, the reviewer doesn't share the love of the film that die-hard fans have for it. So what ? His words regarding the disc's presentation (and included supplements) seemed reasonable to me, and that's what matters most.

I think fans should be happy that Warner even remastered this one. I already own the 2007 release, and am not upgrading this particular title myself (despite the aliasing issue of that previous disc), but for those who consider "ETD" one of their favorites, it's probably going to be worth it...

It will be available....but for now it looks like it will cost over $40 unless you price match.

Hopefully I can get it in-store, but who knows. Bummed it wasn't featured in next week's ad.

Also, an unboxing vid:

The price is way to high for a one disc blu ray. I think 24.99 is a good price because of the extras but not 34.99.

Exactly. I got this reserved at MovieStop ($5 down), so since it's in no ads, they will probably price this at $40+, so I guess I'll wait. It's a Warner Bros. title...they'll have it marked down in a month or so.

Talk about tat. Thing is though, it would've made a great digibook.

I can hardly see any fan of the movie liking that poorly designed photo-cover better than the gorgeous original poster that was used for cover art on previous DVD and BD releases.

It's possible that they might release a digibook version in another region.

I love the original poster art, but I really don't get the hate for the new cover - it's not like the mirror motif has nothing to do with the movie! If they had to change the art, better that than the usual assortment of floating heads and whatnot.

That video is my unboxing. Thanks for putting it up

I like this cover because WB is doing something different. Most (all?) use the same poster for previous releases. If that was never been used before I understand the complaint because it'd be a tragedy.

That last scene is iconic and I like the execution of the cover.

That's exactly my point, it's an evocation of some of the most iconic imagery associated with Bruce. There's nowt wrong wi' that.

How does it look/sound? I'd love to get this but I dont really GAF about the extras so if the audio/video isnt pristine I'm not biting, especially for that price.

The lenticular isn't the cover, it's in the red envelope with the rest of the goodies.

Before this release, I only had the DVD release. It looks sharper for sure but it still has grains. Godfather has a better transfer, not sure if that's good to compare because I'm not certain when that movie was originally released.

The audio sounded decent. It sounds natural with a 5.1, kind of old school and mono like.
