I know they're releasing them, both films are in my wishlist. I was just making a request for that particular comedy.

That is awesome news - thank you - im gonna sell my UK one now I think - also the extras look pretty decent for the scream factory release - Are you planning on releasing the 1985 movie "Silver Bullet " ? I know its owned by Paramount in the US ?

Hey Cliff - Any chances on getting the rights to The Car and The Last America Virgin?

Thx!

Cliff, do you get a copy of each blu-ray you, yourself, produce for free or must you pay for it? Just curious.

cmac said most comedies don't sell that well but they have and are continuing to release some comedies so I wouldn't freak out yet. I would say teen and sex comedies are a whole other market and have a large cult following. Scorpion is testing the market right now with Pom Pom Girls, My Tutor, Tomboy and Beach Girls. Obviously these titles aren't in the same league as classics starring John Cusack or films like Revenge of the Nerds or The Last American Virgin, but it's a good start none the less!

I would love to see (Being all MGM, Universal or Fox titles),

The Last American Virgin (A classic being released by Arrow, hopefully like other titles Shout soon follows suit)
Losin' It (Starring a young Tom Cruise, Jackie Earle Haley and Shelley Long)
Valley Girl (Starring a young Nic Cage)
The Party Animal (One of the funniest teen comedies!)
Making the Grade (Another classic!)
Weird Science (Probably a longshot being a John Hughes flick)
The Sure Thing (John Cusack!)
Fraternity Vacation (Not sure who owns this one but it's a great flick with a young Tim Robbins and Stephen Geoffreys from Fright Night fame, among other horror classics)
Revenge of the Nerds 1-4 + TV Pilot Collection (How have none of these been released on Blu yet!?)
Porky's 2-3 Double Feature
Ski School 1-2 Double Feature
Hardbodies 1-2 Double Feature (Not sure if Anchor Bay still has these flicks)
Private School (Phoebe Cates showing the goods pre Fast Times)
Bachelor Party (Starring a young Tom Hanks)
Class
Zapped!
Mischief (This will unfortunately probably get a barebones release from Anchor Bay)
Hot Dog: The Movie
Meatballs 3-4 Double Feature (3 has never been released on DVD and 4 stars the Feldster!)
Weekend at Bernies
Illegally Yours
Johnny Be Good
Hamburger: The Motion Picture
Secret Admirer
Up the Creek (Has only ever been released as a DVD-R through MGM's burn on demand service)
Doctor Detroit (Insane sex romp starring Dan Aykroyd)

And not teen flicks but definitely need Blu releases!

The Great Outdoors (One of the best comedies starring John Candy and Dan Aykroyd)
Mr. Mom (Only released Full Screen)

You should add to that list: Private Resort (Johnny Depp)

I would want Modern Girls and Teen Witch.

It's unfortunate they don't sell better.

Weekend at Bernie's II is Sony. Sorry.

Is it just me or did Hot Dog...The Movie confuse anyone else? It started out as an outright sex comedy, but then the female lead just leaves the movie, never to come back, and it becomes a sports movie. Weird.

Private School was just sad. I wanted to like it, I really did. I mean, the shower scene was great...(but which one isn't). Phoebe Cates was/is great, Betsy Russel is fine. But even with all these factors contributing towards it, it failed miserably in my eyes. How?

Sony. Great movie, though. I'm sure Johnny wants to forget it.

Nothing against Scream Factory -- sometimes they have to work with what they're given -- but not all of their releases have been stellar examples of catalog title PQ. The Howling is clearly an older master, They Live has some EE problems, Phantasm II looks to be an upscale, etc.

But since Cliff and Dean (both good personal friends of mine -- really ) have overseen the transfer themselves, I'm much more confident that the results will be impressive.

I can't wait to see it! Day one, baby.

Well another day of waiting for the Amazon shipping issue to be sorted has yet again led to disappointment. I think I'll have too look to another supplier to the UK. Anyone have any ideas who the best to go with?

Importcds they're actually cheaper on here, even with shipping they workout cheaper than Amazon.

Can people possibly save the comedy requests for the Shout thread, and not the Scream one?

I apologize but did CLIFF ever say anything about a possible RAVENOUS release in the past? I don't want to annoy him. Thank you

trust me, i've been bugging our sales department about getting it fixed.
Amazon knows it needs to be fixed. They just seem to be taking their sweet time to do it.
