Did you not see the links I put up? Both are examples of how the DNR and contrast boosting of the Gaumont show significantly less detail then the U.S version. Missing stars and blown whites being the key points here.

Yes the U.S version is overly sharpened and above all has separate problems of its own, but its clear which is more detailed.
