well we've seemingly scored sam tompkins and he aint under 1 million, I am really unsure on how we'd go with salary cap concerns.

Didn't Benji sign a life time contract with the Tigers a few years back? If so, might be hard for him to jump ship to the Warriors.

My photo portraits with the guests down at Supanova this year.

Photo 1 Eve Myles
Photo 2 Carrie Fisher

Photo 3 Karl Urban
Photo 4 Alan Tudyk

Photo 5 David Hasselhoff
Photo 6 Margot Kidder

Photo 7 Clare Kramer

Was the best weekend ever, with a VIP party on Saturday Night, access to the actors that I could've only dreamed of.

Arrrgh! I hate movies where musicians (or actors playing musicians) are miming to a performance and they're nowhere near in sync or not even remotely playing what's on playback. As a musician it bugs the hell out of me! If the rest of the dialogue was out of whack that badly it'd annoy most people to no end but when it comes to music it slips through way too easily.

Minor gripe but it really stands out with some films - just watching Wayne's World and it's rife with perfect examples.

Could have sworn I saw on the news a few years back he signed a life time contract. Wasn't aware he has a get-out clause though.

Today I'm heading down to a local bakery called Bremen Patisserie to try out their "Flaming Ron" which is their chilli meat pie. It's recognised by Guinness World Records as the spiciest meat pie in the world. It contains the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T which has 1.463 million Scoville Heat Units - basically one of these chillies has the same amount of capsaicin you'd find in 300 of the hottest Jalapeņos (they have a max of around 5,000 SHU).

If you're able to eat it within 10 minutes you get your name on their record board. I'm aiming to have it done way before that as with that much heat if you don't get it down quick you never will! I have a bottle of chilli sauce made from the same chilli so I've got a bit of an idea of what I'm in for...

Myself and a couple of mates decided to give it a try as we all like hot food so considering we committed to it we figured we'd may as well do it for a reason (other than the hell of it) and decided to raise funds for White Ribbon. So far we've raised over $500 which is a good effort.

I know there are some fellow Coasties on the forum. If you're bored and local to Umina swing down to Bremen Patisserie from 10.30 onwards and say hi. We'll be taking the challenge at 11am.

Info about the pie: http://www.bremenpies.net.au/the-flaming-ron.html

This will be interesting in a [Wash Serenity reference]Oh God, oh God - we're all going to die?[/Wash Serenity reference] kind of way!

So just hit the jackpot. Got tickets to the NZ premier of Pacific rim in Auckland on Monday night, which means a whole lot of free food and beer.

I got some free tickets to it for Monday too unfortunately no free Beer though but apparently there will be free popcorn & soft drink, better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick

Indeed. This premier is hosted by the film company itself, apparently they lay it on. All the people who rate movies and stuff will be there.

Not wrong there.

Totally smashed it. Downed the pie in 1:29 and the other guys got there in 3:32 and 9:04. From a quick tally it looks like we've raised just under $1000 for White Ribbon too so quite a good effort.

Most painful thing I've ever done though. Man!
