It was however a wonderfully shot, lush picture. That last action setpiece is really incredibly staged and thought out. Fichtner and Hammer provide solid roles. It was a very professionally made film and definitely worth seeing. Neither better or worse than I'd have thought, so I wasn't really disappointed. Nothing I'll buy, but might catch again as a rental.

I'm glad it was 2 1/2 hrs. that much more to enjoy.

Yes, I am because my answer was also humorous.

This whole discussion about this movie is humorous. It is a fantasy movie. It is a fun movie. People are acting like my neighbor who has to pick apart everything in a movie that he thinks could never happen.

It is just a movie. Enjoy it. Have fun.

These genre movies are way too long anymore. It's like quality editors are an endangered species in Hollywood these days. However, the reasons these "characters" weren't cut was an attempt to cater to the female and boy demographics. A movie that trys to please everyone usually pleases no one.

From my very first post, I never thought for a second anyone would take me seriously. But as long as people in this thread actually believe the obvious and complete BS that I am spouting, I will continue to post my love for Klinton Spilsbury...the man, the legend, the actor whose voiced was dubbed in the only film he ever made.
