No, the first movie was made in 1995! That's why it feels dated. But that never bothered me. If it did, I probably wouldn't like 95% of the movies in my collection. Hell, even films such as The Recruit feel dated, and that one is only 10 years old.

Quality doesn't age, though. Crimson Tide and The Rock, movies which were made around the same time as Bad Boys, feel just as dated, and they're still as great as they were when they came out. Bad Boys II hasn't gotten any better with age, in my opinion.

And really... a movie that came out in 1995 is an old movie? I must be getting old!
