Sounds like a few boxes that "fell off the truck" to me. While there are liquidation sales, they don't happen the week of release
I think alot of things have fallen off multiple trucks that manged to make there way to ebay. At some prices things go then deduct the auction insert fee, the sold percentage and if the buyer bought with paypal then theres another fee to deduct. By the time that all happen (example) on a retail tv of 1500 that sold for 600 new in box with 60 bucks dedeucted from 3 fees your left with 540 bucks. Now I wish I could of gotten that tv from the factory for $500.

Some things we buy direct through the manufacture are going way cheaper on ebay and we get special pricing on it. Never could figure it out.

Another example we get Crown I-tech IT8000 amps at $3,xxx, suggested retail is $7,762. One went on ebay new in the box the other day from a music store for $2,300. Hmm.

The Walmart by me just had an inventory last week, I know the electronics manager, and they lost $600,000 in the last year from the E department alone. 1 year, 600,000. Its not a big city. Employees can just walk right out the door with them

I've ssen it happen quite a bit at the Wal Mart I work at. We've had a ton of people get arrested in the 6 years that I have been there. Just in the last few months a couple of guys in Electronics were caught taking iPods and DVD's and they quit before they were arrested. Some people just don't give a rats ass. What pisses me off is that it cuts into our stores bonuses taking even more money out of my pocket!

I sell sports stuff/fan gear online & looked into buying blu-ray's wholesale from a distributor, but most are barely cheaper then Wal-mart(I'm talking penny's if at all) So I figured it wasn't worth the time, but the plus side is you'd get the new releases on the Friday before the release date, but it's illegal to sell them before their Tuesday release(at least if they find out)

Lots of times Wal-mart is cheaper than the wholesale price from my experience. The power of ordering in bulk.

My brothers best friend had a friend that worked at a bottle shop & he used to drive his van to work some nights & help himself to quite a few boxes of spirits & then sell them - jim beam, johnny walker, jack daniels for $15 a bottle (they retail for over $aus35 here) anyway needless to say the police got him & he got 3-5 years for selling stolen goods. Another guy i know used to work at the brewery & he was telling us that some guy who worked there rocked up with his trailer & acquired 60+ cartons of beer when his shift had finished as he thought everybody had left, but one person saw him do it & told the boss who contacted the cops & arrested him.

The thing is people will continue to steal as long as they can make money out of it or until they get caught.

The only people who make money on blu rays is the trade companies who sell them as you can't buy them straight from the distributor & cut out the middle man.
