Brazil used to be my favourite film. I don't think it has aged well. I don't think it is terrible at all though.

Have you see any of Gilliam's other work? If so, then you kind of have an idea of what to expect. But IMO it's his best film (granted I haven't seen all of his work yet.)

I haven't liked any of his work Though I do want to see this eventually, since I own it.

Ah, well, at any rate, you could sell or trade it for another Criterion if you don't like it.

You and me both. I probably won't get rid of them, but let's just say I won't have nearly as many films in my collection if I did.

I'm trying to watch all these films (not just Criterion), but I have absolutely no motivation or desire whatsoever to sit for at least 80 minutes and focus on something.

I give up trying to compile a list I'd get rid of, as there are far too many, even if I haven't seen them. I also give up on trying to compile a list of films I'd keep, because again, there's too many and I always double think.

No wonder you dislike so many great films.

Honestly, I get impatient with watching movies a lot of times too. I wish I didn't but even when I enjoy something, my attention goes away for a while.

Maybe list your top 5 if your interested...
I bolded my Top Five out of the above list. Have fun with the purchases!

This was tough, because I love all of the above films dearly. Revisiting Lord of the Flies earlier today reminded me of its awesomeness.

I'm honestly so bored right now, but I don't have any desire to stare at the television for more than thirty seconds.

I know you are lol.

I've already stated that I disliked Drive because Refn relied too much on excessive violence to make a generic story a little bit more unique. I have to rewatch it to really confirm my original analysis on the film, but that's my current position.

As far as Hanna, it started off great in the wilderness and had a lot of potential, but everything afterwards was stupid. A super soldier that was engineered in a lab like a rat? Lol...

The struggle is real, my friend. But I know what you mean, I get like that too.

Criterion is one of the best companies when it comes to pleasing fans, so I know this would NEVER HAPPEN, but just for discussion sake, I have a curiosity.

When Criterion first started putting out blu rays, their initial releases came in digipacks. Let's say from the get go, they said ALL their blu rays would continue to be released in digipacks, no matter if they're 1 disc or multi-disc sets. Would you continue to buy them?

I'll admit to replacing and paying for a few of their earlier digipack releases with standard cases, but I would continue to buy them. I probably wouldn't buy as many, and might only select my absolute favorites, but digipacks wouldn't stop me.

I'd continue buying them, I'd just buy replacement cases.

I had somebody print out the hi-res Third Man cover so I could switch my DigiPack into a regular case, even after they stopped the replacement case for it.

Rob Reiner needs to be on Criterion BluRay. My suggestion: The Sure Thing. "Penny Lover" and "You Might Think" would sound so great on an uncompressed audio track.

Oh c'mon. The premise wasnt the looniest thing that's ever been in a film. It definitely wasnt constructed around the story. The direction and score carried the movie but the combat scenes were so much fun! For a stylized action thriller I thought it was executed very well.

This isn't any help, but this just reminded me to say that I watched this a few nights ago and really liked it, definitely worth the purchase.
