It's about time those "replication" issues make their rounds again...

Penton I appreciate this is more Paideek's area but as he's not around...I've only had my PS3 a week (and a new 1080p projector) but their sems to be regular problems with the picture not displaying...

As both are brand new and 1.3 hdmi etc it's not a spec issue..I've read online that since f/w 2.20 (which is what mine is) there have been a number of PS3 users with HDMI sync issues since that f/w release.

Any idea's if Sony are aware of this and if the upcoming f/w 2.3 corrects it?

Penton - thanks for the heads up well in advance. I've posted on "other" forums that our (blu-ray.com) insiders confirmed it and we never doubted you (or Paidgeek for that matter).

Not my place to reply here, but just in case I can help: have you tried powering on the projector first then the PS3? It may just be a handshake issue.

First try milou6’s remedy and any other solutions offered by helpful members or moderators here and if they are ineffective, let me know and I’ll pass it onto paidgeek when I return from NAB…….if he doesn’t appear in the meantime.

Or else, my hints are becoming much too cryptic.
I’ll bet my bottom dollar that Bob Harris got my hint in regards to the Scorsese film I linked for all to view.

This may call for more straightforward postings.
I may just have to give you folks a hint as to which classic film I was referring to a few pages back that slid into the #1 slot for archiving by a certain major studio………..which will necessitate doing a high resolution scan (greater than 2K) of the usable elements as part of the process.
