I explained the problem and he sent out the replacement case.
Much appreciated!

The disc itself appears to be in perfect condition, as does the booklet, so I simply put everything into one of my Dynex replacement cases.

Who at Screen Archives Entertainment should I contact about a replacement sleeve and a replacement case?
I'm going to look up Customer Service for now, but any ideas on how to streamline the process or about a specific contact would be appreciated.

I know that this is nothing life-threatening, and that it's not exactly a crack in the Sistine Chapel, but it's also not what I paid $34 for.
Ed is the person to email.

It might be Ed. As I was saying, it's been a while. Apologies if I was mistaken.

Anyway, there's definitely more than 500 copies remaining, because they haven't made any kind of annoucement yet.
Didn't someone recently have SAE sell out of a title (without keeping one aside) while they had it ordered along with a preorder?

I don't want to spread unrest based on faulty memories, but I could have sworn I saw someone post about it a couple months ago.

My July 3rd Driver preorder finally shipped today. Not too shabby, only 4 days after street date.

It is indeed Ed. I had a case arrive broken a couple months ago. Since I order all of the titles each month Ed just told me to include a note concerning the extra case with my next order.
[Show spoiler]Of course, I totally forgot to do that the next time I ordered and sent Ed an e-mail requesting the case and how it slipped my mind.
Long story short, it arrived with that round of TT titles.

I remember this, as well. Wondered if TT changed and/or implemented a policy to address this situation. Will shoot them an email... Thx.

(Thx to the others who responded, as well.)

This is exactly the reason I did not order Body Double along with my order for The Driver, Hard Times & Leave Her To Heaven.

Not sure if they did or not, but when I pre-ordered Sleepless in Seattle and In Like Flint, I also had The Big Heat as part of that order. It sold out between the time I ordered and when the order shipped, but I still got The Big Heat.

Every time I order one blu-ray from SA, I put in the special instructions box saying I want it shipped in a small box. They've done it everytime I've asked them to.

This is exactly the reason why I alway try to order 3 TTs at a time. That way they ship in a box instead of a bubble mailer.

Received my copy of 'Leave Her To Heaven' yesterday. Beautiful artwork inside and out. Love the disc art. Also Thursday I got 'Swamp Water' in the mail. Great artwork on that as well.

Can't wait to watch them when I'm off from work Tuesday!

Thinking about ordering LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN along with SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE. I've never seen LHTH and was wondering if you think it's worth a blind buy?

I've never seen 'Leave Her To Heaven'. Haven't watched it yet. But, if you like classic films, yes. Gene Tierney was nominated for an Academy Award for her role but, it went to Joan Crawford for 'Mildred Pierce'.

My opinion is No, not as a blind buy.

It seems to be a film that people are either really swayed or are left rather cold by — not any criticism of its quality but because of the subject matter. I was impressed by the direction and most of the performances and especially the colour palette and cinematography, but personally found the film unsatisfying dramatically. I think Gene Tierney is good, but I also think she impresses mostly because the character she plays so well is so far outside her usual screen persona that it caught people by surprise.

So, my two cents' worth:
unless you're happy to pay TT-level prices and simply write it off to curiosity if you don't like the film, then I would recommend watching it first before buying.

I'll echo some of the other responses. The Blu-ray looks quite nice, and if you like 1940s films in general you'll probably find it worthwhile. If you're expecting a film noir, like some people have called it, you may be disappointed. It's more of a psychological romantic melodrama with a few typical noir themes and touches (like a controlling woman, most of the story told in flashback, murder, etc.). It's got some great scenes and a share of suspense, although there are some plotting and character problems in the big trial sequence that makes up much of the last part of the film. I tend to prefer LAURA, also starring Gene Tierney, and they make a good double feature.

It's a great blind buy if you love old films and revel in and/or aren't thrown by "dated" narrative conventions. If you're looking for BASIC INSTINCT, this ain't that.

I finally got around to watching my copy of Beloved Infidel this weekend. It is a pretty good film, gorgeous cinemascope with lush colors, and lots of scenes by the Pacific Ocean giving it an extra eye candy appeal. I can see where JMK is coming from in his review about the casting. While I would not rate Deborah Kerr as miscast, somehow Gregory Peck just doesn't quite measure up to the role. Not sure why. His acting is fine, maybe a bit too wooden in places, as if to over emphasize his transformation from being somewhat stiff when sober to over the top when drunk; it just seems to me that he doesn't fit the role of F. Scott Fitzgerald and the film could have been a lot better with another actor.

One thing that stuck out to me was the beach where Kerr and Peck spend so much time while living on the coast. Does anyone know if this is this the same beach and location used in the final scene of the original 1968 Planet of the Apes? I swear it has to be. While watching Beloved Infidel, I kept picturing a certain statue against those rocks.
