Sniper mission had my blood pumpoing. Cage match for the word. Crank the sound and wait for the footsteps and the knife and kill!

The thing that got me about playing on veteran
was all the terrorists seemed to have missed their calling in the major leagues.

They were flawless with killing you with grenades from across the map, with perfect precision.

And I was beating it in Veteran and I think there is a glitch in my game because when I get to the vents near the end of the game, the rope to rappel down doesn't glow like it's supposed to. Anyways, now I'm almost done with R6V2 on realistic. Does anybody play single player in any other mode?
I do terrorist hunt on realistic single player all the time. It's extremely challenging seeing as the enemy AI spawning thing is total garbage. It's always nice when you clear a room walk out a door, look around, walk back in and literally watch a guy appear in front of you two feet and instantly shoot you in the face before you can even react.

Do it Lonewolf with maximum number of enemies. It's not so hard if you use the AI guys, though.

A friend of mine likes to do it as the 'fallen pilot' routine where he starts with only a 92fs pistol and only uses what he finds as he goes through.

Terrorist hunt is just a great addition to the game. I really wish the terrorist spawning was more 'real' feeling. So frustrating having dudes just literally drop on top of you.

I beat the game on veteran on the 360 version. It was insanely hard at a couple of parts. Mile High Club was the hardest part. I also got all the achievements 1000/1000, I got 1000 on CoD2 as well.

My prior question was overlooked so I will ask again.

Can someone please advise this COD4 amateur on how to plant a claymore?

Any valid reply is greatly appreciated.

let me work on this, albeit i doubt being able to do that here at work...

there was a detailed 'user's guide' for planting claymores, and specific places/locations to optimize how to use em.

i think it was at the cod4forums website...

What a cowardly way to fight the good fight !

I actually started playing multiplayer after I finished the game once, then went back after I got good in multiplayer. I thought that veteran AI was actually easier after you've played online with some good adversaries.

Oh well congrats on your accomplishment.

For the PS3 ? simple just switch to your inventory (left on the D-pad) and then it will bring up the claymore in your hand (provided you have some), then use the R1 button to set the claymore where you want.

I played through the single player campaign, albeit not on veteran. I'm just not that good. Beating Crushing in Uncharted was enough for me.

I'm surprised by the number of people that I hear say they aren't interested in multiplayer with this game. I'm totally the offline single player gamer type, and I'm not much into FPS, but I heard this game was the bomb, and I went out and bought it anyways - and specifically for the outstanding multiplayer everyone was raving about.

So I did single player to get my feet wet. It was fun, but afterwards I wasn't up in the experience, especially since it was so short. I put it back on the shelf for about 2 months. Then about a week ago, having beaten all my other games I popped this one in to give multiplayer a serious try. To put it simply, it kicks ass. The number of different match styles alone is enough to draw in people like me who haven't touched a shooter since Quake 2. I doubt I'll ever go back to do veteran, given that the majority of the game's content and replay value is in multiplayer.

I'm really drawn to the teamwork aspect, and the fact that the game is suited to anyone's play style. It doesn't have to be a fragfest if you're more into, say, defending your flag or sniping from across the map.

havent run it on Veteran. i bought CoD4 when it came out for 1 reason and 1 reason only. the online play.

i ran through the single player campaign with the quickness (plus its very brief anyway) to familiarize, and i ve been doing nothing but multi since. its the most frantic, and frenetic fun i ve ever had on a shooter. and my shooter quota wont be filled by another game till Haze/KZ2/R2.
