dd-wrt is a custom firmware for some linksys (and buffalo) routers. It's a bit more powerful than the standard firmware that linksys provides (more options, more efficient use of resources?). It's Linux based, and I'm a geek so I want to piddle with things.

The WRT54G is a good router though, they are older and I don't think they are made any longer.
