This game is one of the reasons I bought a PS3. I love the RE franchise and can't wait for this one. I sure hope it doesnt get pushed back....

Man oh man I cannot wait for this game , I may have to fire up resi 4 and play a round to get my RE fix. Of all the next gen games coming this is my most anticipated. Some details/info on the game would be nice.

it comes out in 2009. I doubt it'll get pushed back.

Top of the list for me, I really hope that this one kicks some serious ass like RE4 did! Chris Redfield looks a hell of a lot bigger than he did before though... almost like a different person. Weightlifting and steroids, that's it...

I am a big RE fan, though 4 was my least favorite overall(great gameplay though), I miss Umbrella, the old more exploration based gameplay(not the controls), all the kooky puzzles and the Zombies and Monsters. Not to mention the story just interested me WAY more, I like the mad corporation and the wacky freaks that ran it. Alfred Ashford was great in RE:CV, and Cheif Brian Irons in RE2 was great too. The new ones (can't say about 5 for sure) just don't scare me and the only monsters I likeed from 4 were Mendez, Salizar, those odd spikey black things (the ones that breathe funny) and the wolves, other wise it's just not the same. Especially this new one, could be renamed to Chris Redfield in: GENOCIDER.

Still I am looking forward to it, I am worried about something though. If you look up the game on EBgames.com they only list the 360 one and have for quite a while now. EB/Gamestop is sometimes right about these things (more often not though) but why only list one version? They loose money by not offering both for pre-order, unless they know something we don't. Other retailers still offer it but they are not as informed. Just a bit of paranoia on my part, I just hope M$ doesn't pay for it to be exclusive, with E3 not that far off I suppose we will have to wait and see.

I agree about RE4. I liked the RE versions with real zombies and Umbrella.

According to 1up, there may be a surprise release of the game in September 08. Lerts keep our fingers crossed.

he also explains why the game is set in africa, saying he wanted a place were humanity started. people already are saying the game is racist with a white guy shooting a buch of black people, but i think he just started a whole nother debate thats going to filip to other side saying africa is were the human race was born. i agree, but im just pointing that out.
