MGS IV: Plot Twists

I'm creating a seperate thread for this, because I don't think it belongs with the news and updates of the MGS IV: GotP megathread. What do you guys think some of the plot twists might be in this game?

I just want to know if I am the only person this has occured to. I think the person on the front of the box could be Big Boss. Somehow over the past 20 years, he has survived and hidden underground, along with his PMC: Outer Heaven. There are 5 PMCs which have all been believed to be seperate from each other, however they are all dummy PMCs, under the control the whole time by Outer Heaven. For some reason Big Boss has captured Solid Sanke and is impersonating him (possibly Liquid Ocelot has gained too much power and Big Boss is going to try to take him out, but has found it too hard to do within his own orgainization, so he must go against them and use his son's allies as friends to get to Liquid?) This would definately explain why Solid Snake appears to be so old, its because who we think is Solid Snake, is actually his father: Naked Snake/Big Boss. To me it makes no sense why Solid would have aged normally up to the Big Shell incident, but then magically had this rampent age acceleration problem. Of course Big Boss is going to play it off has a genetic/clone issue. This would also explain why we have this screenshot from in-game MGSIV clearly of a young Solid Snake: http://www.playscope.com/medias/Jeux...reens/0078.jpg

look at the picture, and look at the door in the back, that looks like a prison cell to me, futhering the thought that Solid Snake has been imprisoned.

I think the player will play through the whole game thinking he is solid, and then in the final 20 minutes of a massively long cutscene that ends the game, realize the whole time he has been playing as Big Boss. Big Boss walks into a prison cell where we see Solid Snake being held, then screen goes blank in a Sopranos/NCFOM style. Of course, this leaves the series completely open to Metal Gear Solid V.

Hmmmmm now the juices are flowing! This could be true! How do you explain that snake was young and healthy and then only 10 years or so from the big shell incident now he's suddenly aged like 30 years? This would make sense, Was big boss not in like his young twenty's in mgs3? fast forward about 50 years and we have a very old, yet very agile "old snake" meaning the "original/naked snake"

I thought the reson snake aged like that was because of foxdie.

But if it was BB then how would he know otacon and meryl ect ect

The younger Snake shot is from the TGS'06 trailer, he's in the same area as the start of the Hideo Kojima gameplay demonstration, not imprisoned.

Solid Snake did look a lot older in MGS2 than MGS to me.

Snake's aging has been explained already, many times.

Also, the main character in this game is Solid Snake, aka Old Snake.
I believe this has also been confirmed, many times as well.

As for the young Snake we see in the old trailer, I just think he's a new clone. (Maybe)

BIG BOSS knew ocelot from MGS3 also just because its "confirmed " means nothing in MGS just like the countless times it was confirmed that every MGS was Hideo's last, but the clone idea could be true to! keep the speculation coming people! P.S. Who do you think is the kid in Meryl's group?

That doesn't mean there can't be a plot twist. Solid Snake was also confirmed for MGS2, but how many people expected to be playing as Raiden in the middle of the game? There is still so much secrecy surrounding the game, it's safe to expect some kind of twist.

You never know with Hideo though, this is what I think will happen;

It turns out there all cyborgs on a training exercise for the intergalactic republic of Zargonia exept for ocelot who is in fact quenn victoria.




And Snake is Jebus (who is jesuses step son)








And Meryl is George Bush working for OK Today

So Octacon does not notice this sudden change in appearance? I am sure Otacon stayed in touch with Snake. Especially to notice a change like this.
Otacon most likely witnessed Snakes aging over the years. Unless early on they make you believe that they have been out of contact, I cant buy it.

he was injected with FOXDIE at Shadow Moses, it isn't activated until now, when he is already old.

He's aged because of degeneration in his cells due to him being a clone made in the 70s. So the need for injections. Thats what I heard.

thats what ive heard too, but why did he suddenly start aging so much faster than before?

i have a feeling if naked snake is the main charachter of the game, that is the excuse he is going to use on why "Solid" looks so old.

I could be totally wrong and probably am.

I remember people thinking that Olga was Meryl in MGS2 until you gt to play the whole game.

Because he reach his expiration date. Instead of aging per year like regular, he now probably age within every passing month. That's what I think. I mean, he is an old clone afterall. Not to mention MGS4 does not take place right away after MGS2, but a couple years further. (Or so I heard)

He's deteriorating, even if he survive MGS4, he won't be living long.
