There's been lots of them, yeah (all the films from the past few years), but they usually take longer than this.

Even a 'vibe' of that scares me away from it (I know a lot of members say it doesn't, and others say it does..so I really don't know..thanks though)

Ive felt like that all year...anticipation is ok but I never get worked up because most months wind up like this, but these aren't my kind of films...Its a good way to save money...
Happy for those who are fans of these titles however...every month someone gets to have a happy day....

Damn, I'm having a good day...

New receiver, cigars, Bears preseason in a few hours and now a great November slate.

I'm a little leery of the dual-format but eh, we'll see.

The City Lights and Frances Ha covers are pretty freaking awesome, btw.

I kind of hope they don't repackage their existing BDs as dual format packages. I'd feel like a dope for having bought so many already.

Yeah, because Pirates is really Criterion-worthy. I could see Macbeth and Tess, but... not all of Polanski's stuff is good enough for Criterion.

It does. That doesn't change the fact that, to me, it looks like it was done in a rather haphazard and awkward manor. Just the way everything is arranged looks sloppy. The font in particular looks bad.

But if you're going by that then they technically didn't release announce another Ozu title as Tokyo Story has already been in the collection for years.

I think this is one that everyone who must have it will wait for a B&N Sale.

I don't think any cover out there looks as sloppily done as Gate of Hell.

Yup!

City Lights and Frances Ha are the two biggest films for me this month.

So for some reason, I thought these were December releases. But they're NOVEMBER. Which means they WILL be part of the B&N sale. Wooooo!!!!

Tokyo Story and Frances Ha will be buys for me more than likely.

Very disappointed with the lack of Cronenberg and Lynch though.

Yeah, but there's a lot they can't release. Chinatown already has a great blu release from Paramount. Warners owns Fearless Vampire Killers, Frantic, Oliver Twist.... Studio Canal owns The Pianist, Death and The Maiden, Ninth Gate, Bitter Moon, etc.

The ones you listed and Macbeth are the only ones they COULD release.... Those and maybe 'What?'
