I'm sure somebody have done it.

I think I actually did it, but it's in a long thread, not a new thread. But I quoted the original article from Home Media Retailing and not the Reuters article.

I saw that the Videoscan numbers indicated roughly 58% Blu-ray to 42% HD DVD inception to date, which means when total for both hits 2,000,000 soon, the breakdown should be approximately 1,160,000 Blu-ray and 840,000 HD DVD if it is all accurate. The 2,000,000 total should be a few weeks away roughly.

I should add the most recent week showed 61% - 39% in favor of Blu-ray so the total breakdown of 58% - 42% should remain about the same for the next couple of weeks.

By the time HD-DVD hits the same milestone Blu-Ray should number around 1.25 million. I believe that is a few months away.

Edit: being nice...

Given the since inception numbers
Currently:
Blu- 1,000,000 - 58 pecent.
HD-DVD - 750,000 42 percent

So if they both go to a 1:1 ratio - (not likely) +250,000
Blu - 1,250,000
HD-DVD 1,000,000

Ok suffice it to say Blu will be well over 1.25 million by the time HD-DVD hits one million several months from now. I'll take out my previous statment. To err is human.

BD is ALREADY at 1.2 million at end of March. This is the SI number, not YTD. YTD is close to 1 million.
