Cost effectiveness? As long as SONY doesn't pass the costs on to me(consumer) I'm all for the higher capacity BLU-RAY format.

As time goes by there's gonna be higher and higher resolution TVs and I think Blu-Ray would keep up with the advancements in TV technology longer than HD-DVD due to capacity.

I read an article saying that 1440P TVs are already gonna be out by 2008. At that rate, we'll be at 1920P in about 5 years.
