Yes but goldeneye did not make it mainstream, which I think was his point.

i would say that goldeneye did pretty damn good for bringing fps' mainstream.

and yes, i know it's wikipedia but i couldn't find better sources here at work.

While not the best source in the world, I do give it some merit and stand corrected. Halo is still a hell of a game regardless!
