It's tough to say since it probably matters when they were manufactured. They probably manufacture them with the latest firmware available during that production run.

The 80 gig in June should at least come with firmware 2.30 in it or 2.20

No telling what it'll have, probably 2.30. But if it doesn't, no matter how old the firmware you only have to install whatever the latest update is, you don't have to do all the ones in-between (I'm guessing that's your concern).

It doesnt matter since you can just install it when you set up your PS3
