I know its PD, but I'd kill for The Brain That Wouldnt Die on blu-ray.

There's already an HD Master for it that plays on TCM, so it wouldn't be too risque of a move on their part.

Great to see them tackling earlier titles like this, even if I'm not a big fan of the movie itself.

Prince of Darkness review is up!

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Princ.../73170/#Review

Is it just me or did we end up with more special features than the announced? I'm not sure....I might be wrong.
I also see no mention of DNR meddling which is nice.

It would have been funny if the reviewer had said, "I've got a message for you, and you're not going to like it.", and then posted a two-star video quality review.
(...and then posted the actual video quality review a couple of paragraphs down, of course.)

Redrunner, THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE just came out today on DVD, in the Timeless/Shout Factory set entitled "Movies 4 You More Sci-Fi Classics." It's one of four films on the DVD, and looks great considering that.

The image is presented in 1:66-1 and the film is totally uncut, including the gore and the full striptease fight with its strange, minimalist dialog.

There is also a supplemental gallery with a scene from the foreign print (in which Adele Lamont poses topless in medium shot for the "photographers," running nearly 80 seconds), and a photo gallery with a generous 38 images from BRAIN (including a couple of cheesecake shots).

I agree that I would prefer to have BRAIN as a stand-alone Blu-ray title, but the MGM/Shout/Timeless print is the very best that this film has ever looked on home video.

And yes, I'm glad to hear about DIE, MONSTER, DIE! coming to Blu.

I literally own dozens of copies of it on DVD, but I'd fall over, dead as a doornail for a blu-ray.

I might pick up the Timeless Horror DVDs, but I doubt it. I cancelled my All Night Horror pre-orders because so much is coming out on blu-ray now and I can't afford to keep up with blu-rays and dvd simultaneously.

I'll definitely get the All Night Horror dvds at some point, but it would take an act of God (Jesus Christ Superstar ) to get me to grab any other Timeless sets. I just hate re-buying, especially on dvd again and again.

Ill be getting Die Monster Die as that has been on my top ten wishlist of Blu Ray titles. I really enjoy this film
As for Brain That Wouldnt Die - I have that Synapse release, and will suffice - I dont know if this will wind up on HD or not, but it doesnt seem likely

Great news! Hopefully this means Vampire Lovers and or the Price set sold well and we will be getting more films from this era! I love the 80s, probably my favourite horror era, but I agree we have been getting a lot so it's nice to see some older flicks getting released on Blu!

That would be nice, a seriously underrated movie. It also has some nice special features so it's not like there's more to add in that department.

+1. That being said, I was hoping we would get more Hammer films....sigh. No offense to the people who actually like the movie but I thought it was really bad and stupid. Disappointing considering the people involved.

BTW, this is one of the announcements right? I hope not because that would turn out to be a major disappointment. Besides, I don't think this movie has a big following like they said.

No. This is not related to the three titles they said they were going to announce. They still have one more from that bunch to announce (hopefully this month).

While I'm always a fan of surprise announcements, and I do agree that it's good to see that they're not afraid to release titles from multiple eras, I'm curious as to how well this will actually sell. It sounds like a good announcement for those that care, I'm just not on board for this one. Hopefully it can find a decent market and does well.
