I haven't rented or bought a DVD since I bought my PS3 in December. Many millions of the people who have bought HDTVs still haven't bought a Blu-ray player. The surface has just been touched in this market. When friends or neighbors happen to see a good Blu-ray movie at my house, they always basically say "wow, I'm gonna get one" or (more say this) "wow, I plan on getting one once the price comes down a little more". I still think it strange that someone who pays big bucks for a quality HD television or monitor hesitate to pay relatively small bucks for a Blu-ray player. But things will pick up speed as Blu-ray players continue to come down in price and as soon as it becomes apparent to more people that Blu-ray has "won" and is the new standard. Share your Blu-ray joy with your friends. They need to learn that that HDTV isn't only for watching sports and Lost! Make some converts. Once they try Blu-ray, they'll never go back to DVD.
