Thanks for reporting this guys, I've removed the mass copied comments. While I didn't read all the comments, the guy don't seem like a troll, just disappointed in lower quality HD DVD to BD ports, which we will hopefully see less of now

Well, unfortunately, Shark seems to be at it again. While this post isn't quite as bad as the first one, here's the new one:
"Mpeg 2 and VC 1 are identical except for 1 paramitor changed by Mircosoft. This codac will make the movie exactly the same quality as HD DVD. As we all learned, copying an HD DVD to a Blu-ray disc means they will be exactly the same quality in every way. I recomend buying movies in AVC as the bit rate is much higher giving more colours and shades, better with dark pictures and fast moviing action. Lets use this form to let the studios know their not going to sell us the high resolution copy of the DVD they have on file, but have to remaster the movie in AVC which is far better suited for Blu-ray. Other wise they will start bring out special additions in a few years after they remaster them in AVC, in order to sell us the same films all over again. Lets not be the suckers they think we are." https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=853 |

I dunno after reading all that he is just expressing his opinion that the studios need to put a better effort into bringing out Blu-Ray quality material. Rather than some HDDVD acceptible AQ, He is saying why not bring the AQ up to what we expect as HT enthusiasts. I agree with him as far as the studios(WB) need to produce it right the first time so we dont have double dips(i.e Full Metal Jacket). I am sure I will be hung to a post and crucified for my opinion but for the most part his opinion is somewhat true. We are the consumers purchasing subpar blu-ray releases from certain studios and we need to let them know that isnt what we are looking for.

I kind of a gree with this, just for the simple fact that he keeps posting the same made up nonsense over and over and trying to pass it as fact. He also just keeps copying and pasting it in all of the news threads that deal with VC-1 or WB or Universal. Basically anything that might contain something assosiated with HD DVD...

I honestly think this person just doesn't know what they're talking about. Normally, I'd say "well lets just educate them" which others have tried to do, but it doesn't seem to be working. Now he's telling me I "don't know my ass from my hat"? Nice...
