cutting down some big-ass althea trees in the backyard. we have 2 that are >20ft tall. thinning them out with pruning shears and loppers, then cutting the stump with the chainsaw.

of course the big one is infested with a nice thorn bush. and the thorns are 1/2" to 3/4" long and will go through thick leather gloves.....so that's fun. but i got one cut down and the other about half-way. that area looks weird now.....almost empty.
