![]() Wikipedia even lists them under "Sequels to Slumber Paty Massacre". http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slumber_Party_Massacre Except Brain Dead. Of course, that's just one of the other famous corman titles that needs upgrading to blu-ray. Quote:
They heard the voice of their customers. In the KillerPOV podcast, Cliff mentioned a title looking surprisingly good, when it didn't look too hot before. But seems like their new transfer blows e DVD away. Assuming they are talking about SPM. Here's how I think it went down: They really thought the films weren't going to look that good on blu-ray, but looks like they took a chance after many requests and did the new HD transfer, and the quality must have impressed them. I'm glad they did! ![]() Last edited by redrunner97; 10-18-2013 at 08:39 PM. |

If Anchor Bay did lose the 1st Phantasm, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that Scream did it, or any of the other sequels.
Don Coscarelli owns them, right? Seems like he has a good relationship with Shout and Cliff too. I could definitely see him taking his business to Shout, over Anchor Bay, as soon as he legally can. Unless AB is paying a ton more than Shout could for them. As far as Slumber Party Massacre II / III, I also agree. I really hope the first one does fantastic, so we can get the sequels. If all goes to plan, they'd probably have them out by the end of the year, early 2015 at the latest. Depending on how soon Part One streets. Scanner Cop and Scanners V: The Showdown are with Sony, right? Or Paramount? So Olive seems like the best Contender for those. I think we'll see a damn Sleepaway Camp Trilogy from someone soon, just wish they'd hurry up! Lol. And as for the 3rd mystery title, I'd say Society? Seems like a fun one, and actually likely, since Mr. Yuzna has been open to shopping it around lately. |

To me, the most exciting announcement would be:
THE VINCENT PRICE COLLECTION, VOL. TWO I'd also be excited to buy THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED and BLOOD AND LACE, but I realize that those two might present rights issues. I'm still holding out hope for a Blu-ray of THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE, despite previous denials. Last edited by Jobla; 10-18-2013 at 11:02 PM. |

Its not even out yet. Quote:
It's essentially the same as the edition on the DVD set, only its suppossed to look 100Xs better. (Paraphrasing). Plus its not a collector's edition. But expect this to be rather cheap. Its a blu-ray only non-CE edition, so they have so far gone for around $14.99 online, but you could probably catch it even cheaper. I'm stoked for this one. |
