But the cartoon ones are ones he will sit down and watch over and over by himself and are usually the ones he brings to me. But i loved the gameplan me and my wife actually watched it by ourselves a couple times also. We havent seen the other movies yet. I work alot lol. |

meet the robinsons and chicken little was the 2 i was thinking about getting. I wished bee movie was out on blu-ray but i will either wait or get in on dvd.
So if you had to pick 1 and your kid liked it...and you liked it or could at least sit thru it. Which one would you buy. Meet the robinsons or Chicken Little? Anything thats not a cartoon i dont think he is ready for yet. To catch his attention...I'm 27 and i still watch alot of cartoons ha. I am also interested in waterhorse i hear good things about that 1. |

Yeah, I enjoyed Meet the Robinsons. Also The Water Horse is pretty good too.

I agree with a lot of the recommendations so far.
The Water Horse is great! There are a couple of scenes that could be a little frightening to younger children but overall, it's funny, cute at times, and exciting. A pretty good mix and might work well, if you don't lose their attention in the first few minutes (i.e. before The Water Horse is born). Bridge to Terabithia is a great family film but I don't think it would be all that interesting to a 5 year old. Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is good and has lots of toys, bright colors through a lot of it, etc. so should do a pretty good job of keeping their attention. Not totally sure this one is appropriate for a 5 year old but Sky High is pretty good and might keep their attention. Maybe TMNT? As already mentioned, a lot of the animated movies are good. I'd recommend the following. Meet the Robinisons Happy Feet Surf's Up |

OP, all the movies you mentioned I own. They have great PQ and they're all really fun to boot. My daughter turns 4 in a few months. My wife's favorite is easily Meet the Robinsons- it genuinely has some really funny moments in it, and the PQ on the T-Rex scene is out of this world. Same can be said for Chicken Little- awesome PQ and a genuinely amusing take on an old classic story.
You can't go wrong with any of those choices. Quote:
