The kid is easily the most hated character in any movie. I'd take Jar Jar Binks over that little bastard.

I liked it. I thought it definitely had its moments. That said, the kid's stupidity did bother me. Will definitely get it when it comes down in price.

This movie was incredibly boring and disappointing. Good plot but the lazy acting plus the last 30 minutes ruined it.

I just saw this tonight and I gotta say I loved it! I can't understand the mad hate this movie gets. We've seen way worst horror/thriller movies in the past and this just doesn't even come close to being bad.

Lena Headey can sure act, and her performance towards the end of the movie was unbelievably good.

So the hospitals are all closed till 7am the next day!?
What if someone was going into labor?

Either way, it was a silly premise.
Why would we all agree to do no crime all year, but on one day, turn viscous?
Then go back to not being viscous?

Just got this today, it only loads to the Universal logo at the start then goes to a blank screen. I've been messing with this for an hour now to get it to work but nothing is changing. Anyone else have a problem with this disc? I had the same issue with Your Highness awhile back. Seems to be a Universal thing....

What make/model is your BD player? Is the FW up-to-date? Do you have another to test the discs on?

PS3 & yeah it's updated, everything else plays fine in it except Universal titles every once in awhile. lol

Was so glad I got to watch this on Vudu instead of blind buying, I would have been really upset for wasting my money on this and I am sorry to those who did

Just saw this on Cinemax.

I liked how the first footage shown of the purge was in my hometown of Jacksonville Florida.

That kid will go down as the greatest villain in the annals of cinematic history! The film would have been better if he wasn't on screen so damned much and I would have liked it much better if he would have been shot when he opened the door.

Both kids were excessively annoying and really took me out of the movie.

Nailed it. You lose the stupid kid and this improves greatly.

No, he's likely talking about the young kid in the movie. I really don't understand all the hate the kid gets. I've seen plenty of films with annoying kids. These kids didn't annoy me.
