This is exactly why Chloe was miscast for the part from the beginning! She didn't have the right outer appearance and charisma to portray Carrie, as Sissy Spacek. The only reason why Chloe was chosen to play Carrie is because, she's a new young actress, who's gaining popularity for the young generation moviegoers.

i agree and disagree with this.. i can't think of a girl Chloe's age that could have done justice to the part besides her, maybe Saoirse Ronan? but at the same time she is too good looking for the role. especially when she got her prom make over

This is a load of BS. I went to a rich/prude school(McFarland, Wi) and it didn't matter what you looked like, if you actually had to WORK or put in any effort in schoolwork, you were considered less than the 'Cool' kids who were either rich, or had their parents as teachers somewhere in the school.

I had neither...plus I found getting drunk every weekend a total waste of time, thus I was picked on.

But I knew many good looking girls that were ragged on for various things. A LOT of hot choir girls getting called names if memory serves.


Chloe is a tiny girl, very short, and a lot of people like her DO get bullied cause she's an easy target. People figure she's small, and a tad God crazy, so they picked on her.

I think it was more how weird she was being home schooled by her batsh*t crazy mother than her looks is why people ragged on her.


Spacek probably got ragged on in the original cause she was really a 30 year old dropping the NEVER BEEN KISSED angle on her classmates!

Total ********s LOVE people like me, cause we take their garbage and don't fight back. It makes them feel bigger than they are to attack a target that doesn't fight back...but secretly knows how bad of a loser they are. Others too see how much of a loser they are.

It's not "hell", it's real life. Most people say they look back on high school with fondness but the truth is high school kids are vicious and relentless. Sure they add hyperbole to it in Carrie but that was part of the point of the movie, going way overboard in a lot of scenarios.

Bullying wasn't really a big thing at my school, there was only a few people were assh*les and it was usually the people nobody didn't give a shit about and if you were a b*tch nobody cared or wanted to be friends with them anyways. At my school, most people didn't give two shits about what others did - like if you wore a certain thing they wouldn't tease them or anything, maybe just make a comment on how ridiculous they looked behind there back and that's it - nothing that anybody has never done.

And I went to a high school with more than 3,000 kids, and there was never really bullying. Or at least I was never bullied really, in middle school a few kids called me names and I would be like "Yeah, thanks" and not let it get to me. But I remember in the 8th grade, me and this girl hated each other - I don't even know why but a lot of people disliked her - and she was a big girl (which isn't a big deal either, just saying) and one time she walked by me with her group of friends and called me a f*g and I said "Well at least I'm not a fatass like you" and she got really upset and was pissed. But it taught her well, she never bugged me again. Hahaha. I guess it could have backfired on me, but at least it stopped her from talking to me. But yeah, I don't recommend people to do this because I probably just lucked out.

Still talking about bullying. I think it's actually gotten worse over the years. Mainly due in fact to alot of social media stuff. But I guess if you don't go on that stuff you don't have to worry about that. But almost now a days every teen does. So it's impossible to avoid.

It was like prison where everyone was in a group whether it be blacks or russians or asians or mixed or cool kids and they stuck together and nobody really did anything to each other

The most that would happen is lunch time we'd get a food fight and those were awesome

I was night Supervisor and came into a clusterf*ck one night, as they had left everything unstocked and messy and customers complaining all over. Ratted him out to the manager, who happened to be friends with his parents, and boy did I pay. The guy not only harassed me EVERY second of the day, he got all his friends to do. Like throw basketballs at your face in gym class. Teachers just laughed. My boss just did the whole, I want you two to shake hands and be done with this. Yeah right...he told a co-worker, who would later become my girlfriend, he was just gonna keep doing it. They spread every kind of lie and rumor about me....all....for HIM not doing his job.

It was so bad my two good friends stopped hanging around me cause they didn't want to be harassed themselves, and I spent the entire last half of my senior year with ZERO friends.

Nice huh?

I love chloe. She does justice to one of my favorite comic book characters ever. But agreed. Shes too good looking for the role of carrie. She gets cast in remakes where she has big shoes to fill. Let the right one in had an amazing female lead and chloe did pretty well stepping up to it for let me in.

With the financial underachieving of Red Dawn and now this, looks like the MGM remake machine is running into some trouble. Guessing Robocop will be along the same lines.
