I watched the film some months ago on Chiller. It's not a terrible film by any means, but nothing great either. It's a reasonably fun flick with decent ideas and some neat effects, but nothing to write home about. I believe Chiller is/was planning on airing it again this weekend. I'd consider picking it up for $10 but not much more then that.

I bought it brand new on ebay for 10$. Free Shipping. I absolutely hate 2 & 3. :P

I dont expect them to get Fright Night II - I wish they could get it but it just aint happening

Is Scream going to release Chiller's Ghoul? I really hope they don't release that movie. I love Brian Keene's novel, but the lack of direction and budget really sank the film adaptation.

How come the shout factory DVD release has a different title card than the version I've seen like on Netflix where instead it's the red logo?????
I like the red one better than the one on the DVD. Does anyone know why there different?

It'd be good to include what film you're talking about when asking a question in the Scream Thread... I know you're referring to "The Slumber Party Massacre" because I saw the duplicate post in that thread, but it'd be good for others who haven't seen that thread.

As for your question, I have no idea. I would guess that it's because Netflix is likely using a different transfer of the film (Maybe a tv release?) and not the one Shout put work into.

I know the sale ended Friday, but I decided to Check the Price is Fright Website one more time... I got a kick out of this and thought I'd share.

It was a nice sale. I'm just nervous because none of the things I bought from it have shipped yet. :/

When/what did you purchase? I didn't order a lot, but I did pick up a few things and I received them within 2 weeks (Around 8-9 Business days) from the order date.

While thanks to a stupid suspension, this is the first time I can comment on my blind-buy of "Lifeforce" while it was on the 24-hour sale. While I don't entirely regret the purchase, I definitely need to view it again to really come to a conclusion on how I feel about it. Let's face it nothing impressed me about this movie as far as trailers or clips I've seen go before I bought the movie. I got this simply based on some good word of mouth and the good Tobe Hooper name, so I'm still giving it a fair shake.

I think a lot needs to be said though on the "Shout!/Scream Factory" customer service and shipping practices. I've always been conflicted about the movie and even at one point tried to abort the purchase, at which point they never really told me when my product shipped and made it impossible for me to cancel the process because it took upwards of 3 days for an e-mailed response. But, I guess I'm glad it wasn't cancelled, like I said before I'm still trying to get into it.

Another thing that had me going, is that they shipped the movie to me in the same kind of plastic bag in which the VA ships my pills. While it's a fine package for hard plastic pill bottles, it does not make a good package for shipping potentially breakable product. While I was happy a slip-cover is included, very cool, it had a tear at the bottom, and to top this off one of the discs was loose just floating around the case. Hoping it was the would be useless DVD, it was not, the blu-ray disc was loose but thank God, somehow there were no marks on the surface of the disc.

It's cool "Shout!/Scream Factory" is offering some good sale prices, the slip-covers and posters on new release collector's edition titles, but their shipping and customer service practices forever have me going back to Amazon to buy the new releases. Plastic bag shipping is bottom of the barrel and exclusive newly commissioned art posters are not worth going back to plastic bag shipping in my opinion.

I ordered Halloween 2, the funhouse, from beyond, and received them all 2 days after ordering. Contact customer service there very good at helping. Had to get a couple slips replaced and the amityville poster.

Jaws sequel boxset? I'd love to see special features to Jaws 3 and Jaws 4 and the filmmakers reflecting on their work. Plus behind the scenes material. I know they're terribly entertaining movies and the journey to make those must be fascinating.

Last night I saw CRAWLSPACE for the first time. Saw a print of it at a movie theater in Chicago with director David Schmoeller in person. I really enjoyed the movie. I had planned to blind buy it anyways but now im looking forward to having it on blu more.

Can anyone comment on the Scream Factory All Night Horror Movie Marathon volume 1? I understand, from Amazon reviews, that The Outing and Godsend video quality looks pretty filthy.

A Jaws sequel set would rule. Universal Studios announced Jaws 2 and 3 blu-rays to released by them with the first but for some reason changed plans at the last moment (I recall seeing sequel blu-ray advertisements in Fangoria).

Something I noticed at the beginning of Witchfinder General - well before the beginning it said (this isnt verbatim) *the views in the commentary do not reflect scream factory, MGM and 20th Century Fox*
This made me wonder if Scream is dealing with MGM reps, or Fox reps on these movies. I know Fox bought a lot of MGMs library so I wonder if the deals for MGM titles are with MGM or Fox ..in the grand scheme of things it doesnt matter but I found it interesting anyway

The Outing looks particularly terrible I must say. Dark scenes especially. It looks like youtube compression circa 2005 at times. Plus it's mastered from a very dated source by the looks of it.
Godsend was a bit better, anamorphic for one thing, but it had some interlacing issues.

I hadn't seen The Outing before this release and I really loved it! It's too bad this wasn't given a solo release on blu-ray but I guess they didn't think it was worthy of investing money into after a sales estimate.
