That's doesn't mean they'll ship it now. And why does a website call DVDworldUSA have their prices in pounds?

A) Their prices are in British Pounds, not Euros.

B) That's because:

We are a UK company that supplies US DVDs, HD-DVDs and Blu-rays primarily to the United Kingdom. We can also supply customers in the United States and the rest of the world.

DVDWorldUSA FAQ
C) And they often ship out orders as soon as they receive stock.

hmm no 3D copy turned up when I searched for The Hobbit: extended.

and if the USA had a conglomerate of difference currencies, I'd like to see you keep them straight.

They ship as soon as they get stock normally 2-3 weeks before the official release date, already had my copy of Man of Steel sent which could be here for the weekend.

Oh and here is the 3D release...

http://www.dvdworldusa.com/shopexd.asp?id=106499

but its not instock yet, just the 2D.

Buying the extended edition purely for the appendices. The LOTR trilogy had hands down the most in-depth making ofs I've ever seen and I imagine these will be the same.

The digital version got pulled because people were uploading the new scenes on youtube. It's going to be released the same day as the blu ray now, which is fine because I was going to wait (Nov. 5 is my birthday!).

EDIT: I just checked and some of the new scenes are still on there, like Bilbo looking at Narsil.

The Extended Edition has just been uploaded to iTunes and if I'm reading it right, the entire appendices from this release are included as iTunes Extras.

If I'm reading it right...

EDIT: Yep, I was reading it right. The iTunes Extras are 16GB. This has never been done before. Damn!

I haven't seen The Hobbit since theaters, so I'm excited to watch it again in its extended form. Normally I get 3D releases in order to futureproof my collection, but I'm opting for 2D for this one since the 3D cover isn't as nice as the 2D.

HI everyone, so yesterday I got my EXTENDED VERSION of The hobbit.

3hours 2 min 27sex...

Pretty cool Still, I have NOT bought anything from the LOTR series...because I am pretty sure, Peter Jackson & co...will hopefully have ONE BIG BOX set of the complete movies - all extended versions... THAT'S the one I want

Picture quality was good for the iTunes d/l. & it was free...so no complaints.

It's called will power to resist buying the theatrical edition, knowing there will be an extended with tons of special features

I don't think that will be a problem. Not like there's 30+ minutes being added.
