I just watched this movie and I actually enjoyed it. It didn't have as much drama as the twilight films had and I thought it was a very good movie. What can I say? Deep down, an an old fashioned romantic ... I actually enjoyed The Host a lot better than I enjoyed the twilight films. Here's hoping they adapt the rest of the books, that are sure to come along.

I enjoyed this, I initially wanted to see it only for Diane Kruger but once I found out Andrew Niccol directed and wrote the adaptation I was interested, then a friend recommended it. I'll pick it up sometime down the line.

I can't get over how terrible the voiceover in the beginning is! "Swim!!!".. lol well no shit.

I couldn't watch more than 10 minutes of it. The Voice over was so,poorly done it was painful to watch.

Has anyone ordered this from Amazon recently? And if so, did you get a slipcover? I might order soon.

Seeing how this came out last July, I'd say it's a slim chance. All the copies I've seen in stores too don't have slips.

Stephenie Meyer said a few years ago that she intended to write a trilogy and did some writing for them, but said that she had some qualms since The Host universe is a dangerous place where characters might die, and she is not sure if she wants to kill them off. I really want sequels, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen, at least not any time soon. Even if she did write sequels, it's unlikely they'd get made into movies since this one did so poorly.

Just went on their page to check for you and it shows a picture with a slip, so there's still a really good chance you'd get a slip.

Just re-watched and forgot how incredibly dull this is. How a film that's 95% talking has a $40M budget is beyond me. I'm still dead at them trying to set up a sequel with Emily Browning. R.I.P. her career. The only reason I'm keeping this in my collection is because of Saiorse Ronan.

Even Saoirse Ronan is not enough to make me own a travesty written by the author of Twilight *shudders*
