They can be so ... inconsistent. To some extent, the longer you've been with them and the more you've spent, the more cooperative they are. Looks like they're still asking for $20 for the standard Hobbit and $25 for the EE - no response to all those "lower price" submissions. BB's $25 as well.

The website still has no images, and there is no flyer for 11/3 that I can find anywhere...

I assume you're talking about the basic 3D EE, at best $29.99...most likely $34.99. That's my guess.

Also, off topic, but do DVDs go down in price on release day as well? Buying EE DVD for my gf, and so far its $24.49.

I would think so, but I haven't bought a release day dvd in years.

I havent either. lol. My gf loves Hobbit so much but dont want a Blu-ray player. So Ill just give her the DVD. Anyway thanks!

She knows Blu-ray players can still play DVDs, right?

I shudder to think at all that would be lost in The Hobbit going to DVD resolution and audio quality...I mean if you have no choice I get it, but willingly?

Does anyone know for certain whether or not $20 will be the in-store price on launch day? Or is it just the on-line price?

I'd like to pick it up day one rather than risk it coming later through delivery.
