No Christmas release since about everything is coming out during thanksgiving and Christmas? I am kinda mixed on seeing this. I've never seen the original carrie? Is the remake any good?

Gonna try to catch this one more time this weekend or perhaps Wednesday since I doubt it will be in local theatres past this weekend due to its shaky box office so far.
