Well, then probably the reason for the difference in pq is simply because of the fact it's in 1080p on the elite, and 720p on the original 360. Meaning, if you had your original 360 doing 1080p via component or VGA, it would look exactly the same as the Elite doing it through hdmi. Not a very fair comparison if you're comparing totally different resolutions, don't you think?
