I'm a simple man, I don't ask for much. But, if "Shout!/Scream Factory" has struck a deal with Universal again just give us some kind of Collector's Edition of "Army of Darkness" with both cuts and all the bells and whistles. Maybe a double feature of "Serpent and the Rainbow" with "People Under the Stairs", "Shocker" collector's edition or not, and what the hell why not Carpenter's "Village of the Damned" remake too seeing as how much they love John.

Horror fans love to dream big.

And just imagine if they didn't decide against acquiring Universal's "Child's Play" films for 2015. We coulda been sittin' on Collector's Editions possibly for parts 2 & 3 (the best ones if you ask me.) sometime in two-years. Maybe even sooner had Universal decided not to release that stupid box set they recently put out.

Do you think it'd be possible for Scream to release all 4 Ilsa movies?

Not really. I think it'd be a real tough sell to Shout! higher-ups.

My primary horror wishlist titles that I'm dreaming to see on Blu-ray someday...

- The nine Val Lewton horror films from the 1940s
- Jacques Tourneur's Night of the Demon/Curse of the Demon.
- Pulse (Kairo) (The original 2001 Japanese film)
- The television version of Tobe Hooper's Salem's Lot from 1979.

Of these, Salem's Lot is the only one that I could conceivably imagine being released by Scream Factory, but I bet that they could make a wonderful package with it.

Not a "dream title" of mine, but one that intrigues me...

When I was a kid, I saw a television movie, The Intruder Within, about these monsters that comes up out of the ocean onto an oil rig. It's one of those films that I suspect would not resonate as much if I were to revisit it as an adult, but it freaked me out at a young age. It was released on VHS, but I've never heard of any subsequent releases.

The Val Lewton films and Salem's Lot are with Warner. I think they might put out the latter fairly soon but I suspect we'll be waiting a long time for the former. Hopefully I'm wrong on that.

Curse/Night of the Demon is Columbia so Twilight Time would release it in HD if anyone. Im perfectly happy with the DVD of it .. I love this film but there are others Id rather see get upgraded first such as the Godzilla movies that were released in the wrong aspect ratio or cutting the end credits with Akira Ifukube's score at the end.

Yes, I know

Lets hope they do the Godzilla movies right this time - I read the releases are mostly going to be from the Heisei and Millennium series
If this is a big year for Godzilla I hope that none of the other studios will overload my wallet....I do suspect another Price set from SF next year though..
Im getting a hunch (aka a gut feeling) for another Price and Godzilla HD set this year ...as well some Lynch films from Criterion as well...this could be another wallet screaming year
We'll just see how 2014 plays !

Don't forget the Cronenberg. Scanners, The Brood, and maybe some more surprises.

*Surprises* does make me nervous 2014 with all the stuff I feel is already on the horizon..Criterion could upgrade titles that I have like Equinox, Carnival of Souls and Fiend without a Face ..Id get them all in a heartbeat

Oh yeah Synapse has Prom Night and Curtains that could / most likely will come out next year at some point... ( Suspiria I think will be a late 2014 or 2015 release)

And we know Scream will have some surprise announcements + Olive Films has at least 3 movies that I will upgrade next year at some point

I have only seen a portion of Craven's filmography.
Scream 1-4, Elm St 1&7, Swamp Thing, Cursed... And (soon) Paris, je taime.

I have no input.

Well...

The Serpent and the Rainbow is a fairly straight-forward thriller about a man investigating claims of voodooism.

The People Under the Stairs is a whacked out horror comedy about, among other things, mutants, incest, home invasions and class division.

I might get the Shocker/People double feature out of the library. Does Serpent have Paxton or Pullman? I can't remember.
