DC and Warner Bros. are building up Justice League and most likely leading up to Darkseid.

Marvel and Disney got the Avengers and leading up to Thanos.

Now Fox with Singer are revitalizing the X-Men franchise and building up to APOCALYPSE!

A little competition between companies never hurt anyone -- especially not the fans.

This doesn't make sense to me. Let's bring back Singer to direct X-Men: DOFP, when we didn't like what he did with the previous films. And now before DOFP is released, we're gonna guarantee that he directs the next film? What the hell is Fox doing? They make no sense to me!

This may have been a multipicture plan from the start ever since Singer came back, but maybe it just was never announced until now. Who knows?

You have no idea how ecstatic I am right now. By all rights, this should be the final X-Men film. Can't wait!

One of my favorite sagas in the animated 90's series was Beyond Good and Evil where Apocalypse stops Cable in the future and takes his time travel cube.

Not saying that's the storyline they'd go into, but the X-Men travel back into Apocalypse's lazarus chamber to try and destroy it but they're too late.
I loved the 90's series. They never did resolve the Apocalypse storyline in the animated series either! I remember watching the last episode and wondering about it.

Who exactly is this we? I hope you're not speaking for everybody. Just cause you didn't like them doesn't mean everyone hated them.

No offense against Singer, but I really wish another director would be given the keys and given a chance to do something with the series from scratch.

Not talking about Rattner either. While I liked First Class, it didn't exactly blow me out of the water. My favorite parts of that movie was anything Kevin Bacon or Fassbinder.

X-Men: First Class? Oh...you mean Wolverine's Vulgar but Hilarious Cameo! That was a good one!

Impressive to say the least.

That's 9 films total, but with what Marvel has projected for the Avengers line, that one will be even longer.

Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor - The Dark World, Captain America - Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers - Age of Ultron...that's already 11, and we know Avengers 3, Ant Man, and few others are certainly in the pipeline.

Though, when Days of Future Past hits theaters, the X series will have 8 already out while Avengers will have 9 (Winter Soldier opens a month earlier).
