For the price, the 805 is a tough one to beat. But, I agree, if sound quality is important (especially with music), the Marantz SR8002 is the way to go for the $2k price. I'd get that one over the 905 (I've auditioned both units and also owned an 805 for a few months). The Marantz IMO edges them all out in 2 ch music, but for HT it's a toss up for me with the 905. The 905 does have a Rheon video chip which is a huge plus, but I'd still take the Marantz as I love the sound of that unit.
