It's my one mission in life, to restore the proper spelling of "lose" on the internet. You know it's getting bad when you see it in print media!

I agree. I also see too much of an item "for sell".

I just don't have any insight to add most of the time, the only movie work I've done being in post.
And besides, I already post way too much on other (non movie) forums.

Moved here from the UK 14 years ago and love the great South/West outdoors and it's critters.
Which reminds me that I'm overdue for a off-road desert trip...

Anyway, enough about me. Thanks for reading and thanks for forwarding my filmography request.
Let me know if there's anyone I should have "a quiet word" with next time I'm in Burbank or Culver City etc

In fact this just happened last night watching Suburban Girl. Often the color choice is so bad that even on the Q it is hard for us to read what is selected!

Just my 2 cents!

Take one word from that post and combine it with your astute guess and you’ve got the answer. I also gave you guys an update indirectly suggesting that DKP would probably be the contractor doing the work.

*Disclaimer – The above linked post is not referring to DNR applied later on down the chain by some studios/post houses during the encoding/authoring stage of Blu-ray titles……it is pertaining to its use during post production for the theatrical presentation.

This is doing my head in!

Given these "clues", I'm guessing the first quote hints at the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz while the second hints at Jerry Maren who was the Child Bigfoot in Bigfoot and was one of the Munchkin's in the Wizard of Oz.

Also, it's the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz in 2009.

Has to be King Kong, has to be.....
(considering my original guess of The Birds was more or less dismissed)

Well, this really isn’t a new clue, it’s just further clarification of an old one.
Meaning, the clue I gave several pages back in the past is actually the same (exactly) as the *handle* or online screen name of one of the posters on this page…………………….

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=48422&page=11
There's Bobby Henderson/Bigfoot - Harry and the Hendersons (UK title: Bigfoot and the Hendersons). Not really a 'classic'.

Or there's Anthony P as in Perkins = Psycho (a classic)

Otherwise, I give up.

This would be fantastic news! I know it's coming, but a brand new restoration...

WB already said Oz was coming in 2009

It's a pity Kong Kong wasn't released in 1934; would have tied in nicely with a 75th Anniversary Blu-ray Edition next year

Kong was fully restored, partially at 4K, for the dvd release. Unless better elements are miraculously discovered the current master is as good as it gets...

Similarly Oz shouldn't be in need of any further work for some considerable time...

maybe I'm stretching it here, but you said "unless better elements [were] miraculously discovered..."

well if we take the word "salvaged" from P-Man's alluded-to post and combine that with BigFoot.... we get "salvaged BigFoot" Maybe this means they've discovered new elements that were thought destroyed... then again I'm probably wrong, but I had to make a stab at it.

I am so glad Howard the Duck is getting the restoration it deserves.

What is your reasoning behind this choice given the clues presented ?

Sorry, I know nothing about it.
All I know is that there are “air” masters that sometimes get delivered.

No sarcasm at all. I sincerely believed you did well by just picking out “BigFoot” from all the screen names on that linked page.

If nobody can offer up the correct title via the logical reasoning of clues that I have set forth, then I’ll resurrect this topic from the dead in about 2 weeks.
Say…………………May 19.

P.S.
You know, I just thought of another way to solve this conundrum for you googlers out there. I inadvertently let it slip that “DKP” would *probably* end up being the contractor doing the work (or at least one part of the project, we’re talking mucho $$ here).

So, I guess you could always google “DKP” but then you’ll most likely encounter thousands of hits. A smartie might add a particular relevant word to “DKP” (no, not “BigFoot”) to narrow down the choices and find this piece to the puzzle.

I wish I could say I was very clever but this was just an effort at humor. Are there some accidental parallels between the real film in question and the Duck?
