I saw this last night and after letting it digest, I liked a lot of aspects, but can't give it a perfect rating. The acting is top notch for sure, especially Leo and Jonah Hill...amazing performances. I was really drawn into the scenes that highlighted the sales pitches and the Lemons scene (talk about crazy!).

But I can't rate this even with Goodfellas, Casino, or even Departed though. Like others have stated before, I thought it was pretty repetitive (drugs, orgies, drugs, orgies, etc.). I would've loved to have seen more of the FBI side, as well as digging a little deeper into the characters (Departed conquered this in spades). I will definitely be buying this on blu-ray when it comes out. More viewings might change my mind.

I saw it last night and I happened to have LOVED it. The 4 people I went with said it was "typical Scorsese/Dicaprio faire" but I legit loved it.

4/5. I thought it was going to end twice but then kept going, could've used some editing but thats my only real complaint with the film.

Just got out of watching it a few hours ago and have to say I really enjoyed it. Lots of laughs, great acting and directing. 4/5

Some things that stood out:

- Leo had a hell of a performance! It just sucks to know that he more than likely won't win for this thanks to Chiwetel Ejiofor lol but maybe one day Leo one day...

- The amount of laughs that this films produced in the theater was awesome! There were time people kept laughing way past the scene was over.

- There are some parts in this film that depict certain groups of people in a bad matter and some people in the theater around me were shocked and some walked out in a certain scene

- Only real criticism I have of the film is that it is a tad bit long. At no point in the film did I feel bored, but certain scenes, though funny, stretched out too long. I'd say maybe 15-20 min. could've been cut and it would've been just as good.

Terrific movie. I'd love to catch it once more on the big screen when it hits the dollar theater. I thought the pacing was fine... no issues with length. As mentioned, Leo and Jonah are totally in their zone with their characters and both bring a wide range of emotion and depth to their characters, being hilarious one moment and ruthless the next. There were probably at least 20 or so people who walked out as the movie got underway, which was kind of funny. Instant classic.

Four Stars. Fantastic acting, directing and writing. Three hours was a bit too long and felt like it after it hit the two and a half mark, but I was entertained throughout the duration of the film. Regardless of the length and how I felt about it, I'm still curious as to whether Scorsese will release the original cut of four hours as an extended edition. If so, I would be curious about it. Overall, this was a great flick and a day one purchase.

While an very good and understated performance nowhere near what Leonardo did in this, but its Dicaprio, and the AMPAS. He may not even get nominated. They can just do to him what they did to Scorsese for 30 years.

I feel bad for Leo, but I'm on the other end, I believe Chiwetel Ejiofor performance in 12 yrs was superior.

Not taking anything away from Leo in WoWS, because he did great in it, but it's just a great performance wrong year type of thing all over again.
