For sure, I have a small number of concert flicks in my Blu collection: Stop Making Sense (one of my five favorite films, period), Neil Young Journeys, It Might Get Loud (more documentary than "concert" per se, but I count it), and Ride, Rise, Roar. I do want to pick up The Last Waltz and Shine a Light at some point in the near future, too.

You mean as a couple or as a band? The band went on hiatus, they never
officially broke up.

By the way...here's a good quote from the NPR review >>>

Quote:
The sketch goes like this: Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova make the practically no-budget movie Once, it becomes an indie hit, they win an Oscar for Best Original Song for the beautiful "Falling Slowly," they give enormously memorable speeches, and they go from playing smallish venues to playing Radio City. And of course, they fall in love.

And it doesn't work out.

The film, from directors Nick August-Perna, Chris Dapkins, and Carlo Mirabella-Davis, doesn't point fingers about any one dramatic reason why it doesn't work out. There are, as there often are, lots of reasons. She's very young — the movie was filmed over a couple of years, but she's roughly 19 when a lot of it is happening, and he's in his mid-thirties and left school at 13 to make music, so they're in wildly different stages of both their lives and their careers. They react to the sudden onslaught of attention from strangers totally differently. And you sense that the same huge, passionate reactions to everything that make him so charismatic also sometimes make her tired.

It's just ... not quite going to work out.

But what's lovely about it — and ultimately very satisfying — is that it's a busted romance, not a busted love story.

Glen explains at one point that breaking up has made them closer, and the film ends with him performing, but more with Marketa watching him perform. Standing in the wings, she has all the giddy joy on her face that you would have watching anyone that you really, really loved doing something that he really, really loves doing. Make no mistake: this is a really beautiful love story. It's just a busted romance. It's sad, but ... it's really not sad.

Next on my list will probably be either U2 at the Rose Bowl or The Stones at Hyde Park.

So I take it that the Muse: Live at Rome Olympic Stadium is in a CD-type of packaging instead of a Blu-ray case? Might explain why I couldn't find it at Best Buy even though it was supposedly in stock...

I have one of the STS9 blus from their three day CA run and I love it. Would not mind seeing Neil Young or some Led Zep live. I have the Last Waltz on DVD and would be down to check that out as well...

I LOVE concert BD's!! Picked up The Stones at Hyde Park yesterday at FYE for $14.99 on blu. Have a couple of other Stones ones already and one from The Who and Chickenfoot.

Anything music-related, I'm in on. Especially concert videos, documentaries or books!

Yes. This one is in a cd package. Fantastic Blu Ray with the best PQ by far of any concert Blu Ray I have. This one has likely moved into the #1 spot on my favorite concert BR list & I'm not that even that big of a Muse fan.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'm usually picky on my concert BDs but I could tell that this is one of those titles that is meant to be in my collection. Having a good number of tracks from Absolution makes it even more worth it.

There are several that I've wanted;

Linkin Park: Road to Revolution
Garbage: One Mile High
Paramore: The Final Riot
Metallica: Big 4 and Quebec Magnetic (and Through The Never, whenever that comes out)
Iron Maiden: Flight 666
Katy Perry: Part of Me
Michael Jackson: This is It and Bad 25
Green Day: Bullet in a Bible
Hatsune Miku: Mikunopolis in Los Angeles

Really hope I'll be able to get them all.

Just saw this show, and, whilst shot beautifully, the performance itself sucks shit through a straw. Utter slop, and they need to just stop. Terribly disappointed.

Stand up, yes.
Music, no. Same reason I dislike live albums. If I wanted to see the band and hear a live version of the song, I would buy tickets and see them perform. It is for this reason that I currently am mad at Danny Elfman, making me buy the. Fast Times soundtrack to hear the studio version of Goodbye, Goodbye.

Agh that's not good,I'll maybe have to reconsider,I think there is an older concert available, maybe that would be a better choice but I watched them in the summer on TV from Glastonbury and I enjoyed that.
