I'm also trying to gather as many film noirs as I can on Blu-ray, because I've taken a liking to how these films look in high definition if restored well.

From what I hear, this particular film is remembered more for its gimmicky approach, but that may not necessarily be a bad thing. Actually, all of the descriptions make it sound like a blast.
I also just preordered MAN IN THE DARK, can't pass up the chance to own another noir on blu even if I have to pay £25 for it (including shipping to the UK). Having read through a lot of reviews of the film on IMDB, opinion seems quite favourable in the main.

I don't own any Twilight Time titles (because of price and lack of interest in many of the titles) but I definitely need to get Wild At Heart.

Anyone know if Man in the Dark is a 2 disc set like Major Dundee with 3D on one disc and 2D on the other or are both versions on the same disk. My fault if it's been answered already I just coulnd't find anything that stated that one way or the other.

I am sure TT will put out a quality transfer. However, the Region free Zulu from the UK looks terrific. Maybe there's not a lot of grain but I do not see any loss of detail, there's no evidence of "waxy" anything. In fact, it looks gorgeous. I am not speaking from a position of special interest but as a movie lover who has watched 1000's of Blu-rays.

I agree the UK release of Zulu looks gorgeous.

You can make out the finest detail, although some of the faces look like they have been covered in make-up and lip-gloss!

I think that's why some people feel there's some sort of digital NR going on?

I'm not sure, but I'm curious about how the Twilight Time blu-ray release will differ , so I might get it as well...

Single disc, and the 3D version won't be an option if played on a 2D TV.

I went ahead and picked up the Region free Zulu for $15 shipped...

It looks like TT will have a 2.0 DTS soundtrack while the Region free has a Dolby Digital 2.0. Curious to know if this will make much of a difference.

Slight clarification, the TT will have a 2.0 DTS-HD (lossless) sound track versus the UK release which has a lossy track.

Yeah, I am sure some digital processing was used, but it is just a tool. I do not believe it was overused here and the film looks awesome in motion. Anyways, this is the type of film that a collector can feel justified for owning different releases...at least for me it is worth it.

I swear I think Screen Archives is spamming me. I have gotten 3 of those "New and Notable Releases" emails in just the past 24 hours.
I mean wtf??

You should be able to go into your order and check the tracking

The tracking doesn't work once it has departed US soil,

EDIT: Upon rechecking it sppears the UPS Mail Innovations does have tracking past the US unlike the previous shipping method which didn't. As much as it has been slagged off that was at least a nice feature.

For those of you who don’t follow TT's posts on Facebook... Next month’s (Jan 22) promotion will be Royal Flash signed by Malcolm Mcdowell.

Does anyone know anything about the UK Odeon disc and how it stacks up against the TT?

How did you track your's once it left USA? I have a tracking number, but the link takes me to some website called "Brokers Worldwide" and then it just tells me it left USA on the 18th.

If you haven't already done so try entering the tracking number on the UPS.com web site assuming it was shipped by UPS Mail Innovations.
